Scanreco G2B Receiver (for use with either of the above)

The comprehensive alternative

The Scanreco G2 is a versatile receiver equipped with proportional outputs, digital I/Os as well as CANopen communication. The numerous interface options and flexible software settings make the receiver suitable for all mobile hydraulic applications on the market. The proportional output signals support both current-controlled and voltage-controlled hydraulic valve blocks. If more functions are needed than what can be supported by a single receiver, more receivers can be added in a master/slave configuration to increase the number of outputs.

The Scanreco G2 built-in basic controller has many features that add to the performance and functionality of the controlled crane or machine. The basic controller also reduces the need for external electronic components such as a PLC or relays and diodes.
The receiver can only be activated by its dedicated Scanreco transmitter; no other transmitter or product can ever activate the receiver unintentionally. For maximum security, the receiver is equipped with dual processors that constantly monitor all data and outputs. In the unlikely event of any error or loss of the radio link from the transmitter, all outputs will immediately be shut down.

An important key to the success of the Scanreco professional radio remote control system is the receiver. It is well known for its durability – even in extreme conditions such as shock, vibration and electromagnetic interference. One of the secrets is that it is potted with epoxy to protect it against dust and water in all forms to survive 24/7 the hottest summer in Australia or the coldest mid-winter in north Canada. This is what we call Never-Stop Technologyfrom Scanreco.

Key features of the Scanreco G2B Receiver include:

  • 8 bi-directional proportional outputs.
  • 4 digital outputs (including dump valve).
  • 3 digital inputs + 1 configurable digital in or output.
  • CANopen interface.
  • Stop function in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 cat. 3, PL d.
  • Frequency bands: 433–434, 902–928 MHz & 2.4 GHz (other frequencies available on request).

  • Weight: 1.2 kg / ~2.6 lbs.

Scanreco Handy 10 Transmitter

Proportional control at the push of a button

The Scanreco Handy is a robust handheld transmitter with innovative proportional pushbuttons. The speed of the controlled motion corresponds directly with the displacement of the button. The infinitely variable speed control enables a higher degree of precision and performance compared to traditional one or two-step buttons. The large pushbuttons are designed to be easily operated even when wearing working gloves. Four proportional functions in dual directions can be controlled simultaneously. A second operational mode allows for further proportional and digital functions to be controlled. Areas for function labelling with text, numbers or symbols are located on top as well as next to each button.

The internal AA standard batteries provide 20 hours of continuous operation. By connecting the charging cable to the Scanreco Handy, the batteries can be fully recharged in approximately two hours. Changing batteries is easily done by the operator without any tools in cases where there is no time to interrupt work for charging.

Automatic frequency management allows for continuous work without any interruptions caused by radio interference from other wireless equipment. The on-site calibration feature allows authorised users to adjust speed settings without any external tools or software.

The transmitter communicates with the corresponding receiver using a Scanreco protocol and a unique identity code. This guarantees that no other Scanreco transmitter or other product ever can activate the machine unintentionally. The stop function conforms to performance level “d” (PL d) as specified in EN ISO 13849-1, a legally binding standard for safety-critical components of control systems.
